Doctor Visits

Isaac had his first doctors appointment last Monday. I was worried about his weight because my milk was coming in very slowly. Thank goodness for my sister who came over the weekend to share her insights about weight gain. From her advice, I started supplementing formula because I knew poor baby Isaac wasn't getting enough. I started with 10ml in a syringe and that made him much happier. When we went to the doctor he weighed 5 pounds 15 ounces, an 8.7% decrease; normal range. But to hear him in the 5 pound range was a little scary. He told me to go ahead and give him up to 30ml or an ounce. The doctor also said he was slightly concerned about jaundice, so we scheduled another doctors appointment for a week later. So today I took him back and he weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces! Great gain!! The doctor also said he was not concerned about jaundice any more.. Overall, we got ourselves a healthy baby boy!
